LOVE this toaster oven!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this about a year ago and I love it! I use it 2 or 3 times a day to make meals for myself and my toddler. It has made cooking and clean-up so much easier and faster for me! The convection feature is awesome. Food cooks faster and still cooks very evenly. I use a regular toaster for making toast so I can't comment on that, but biscuits come out beautifully :) There is a crumb tray under the bottom heating element which is nice. Customer service for this product is also fantastic! I called them with an issue I had and they took care of it immediately. Great product and a great company!! I definitely will consider other Oster products in the future!

This is a gem of an oven!

I have only had this toaster oven for a few days, and i'm loving it already. It bakes evenly and thoroughly and the food always comes out good. It's great for pizza, and for reheating. I've baked cookies, biscuits, pizza, french fries, garlic bread, and so far this thing doesn't disappoint. It looks great sitting on my counter, and is a lot more compact than my last toaster oven. The stainless steel exterior matches all my other appliances. The only suggestion I would make would to be to add a light. My last one had a light and I really miss that feature, but I can live with that.

Trusted the brand, but concerned about the popping

The first time we used Model#TSSTTVDFL2-B to make toast we heard a loud popping and banging. We opened the door and viewed the crumb tray lip bending, curling around the heating element. We turned off the heat and let it cool. The crumb tray returned to its usual shape with a tiny warp on the edge that curled. We are concerned this is a fire hazard and defective. We are unsure if this unit is safe to use. May return.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

As the oven heats up the metal begins to expand and makes a popping noise. This also occurs when the metal starts to cool down and contract.

Got this as a gift but do not see a preheat for the over. Other than that I live it & the size is perfect.

Perfect size for cooking almost everything!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this VDFL2 size and love it from toasting to making larger meals that fit great with the rounded back that fits a lot. I hardly need my larger oven so decided I'm going online and writing a review! Does a lot in not much space.

Better than any conventional oven

I've been using my oven for toast, most of the time. The timer isn't really easy to set for just a few minutes, but after a few tries I've figured out where to set the dial to get "perfect" toast. It's great to be able to see the bread turning to toast, unlike a regular toaster. I roasted sweet potatos, and they came out just fine. Yesterday was a total TRIUMPH...I roasted turkey thighs...used turbo, 300 degrees. Fell asleep and woke up to the most perfect roasted meat EVER! What was comforting was that because I had set the timer, even though I fell asleep, I didn't burn the meat and I didn't set the house on fire...easy to clean, and attractive. SO glad I got it!

I bought Oster Designed for Life 6 Slice Toaster Oven and its the best product out there its very roomy, cooks evenly and does not burn food. I love how lightweight it is and the awesome silver color. Its so easy to use and the best toaster oven I have ever owned I love it .

good oven, horrible toaster

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to agree it works fine as an oven but not so much as a toaster. It does burn toast and very badly if you go with the suggested settings on the dials. Also, the baking pan is small compared to the interior size of the oven, what is up with that? I might take this back as well.
