Great for longer tasks, not great for toast

They really should take "toaster" out of the name. While it toasts the same way a full sized oven does, it has none of the toaster conveniences that have been around for more than 50 years. The only way simulate the automatic stop of a toaster is to set the timer, but that only works if it's set for 20 minutes or more (by which point your toast is charcoal. Other toaster ovens have much shorter timers for toasting. And there's no easy way to stop the timer once it starts other than forcing it back (how long is it going to last if I do that every day?) It's great for cooking small things for longer times, but it's a pain for the things most people think of as toaster oven tasks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great toaster oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toaster oven cooks great, especially pizzas. My only concern was that replacement racks are not available. Otherwise, a fine product and great customer service!

First time Oster ever disappointed me

I just ordered this Toaster Oven and I am thoroughly disappointed in the lack of quality of this product and the design as well. Looks to me that Oster is now into cutting corners with cheap materials. I do not like this new design and I HATE the
pan provided - one use and it cannot be cleaned, looks like 100 years old. And why is it that an oven cannot be made for proper cleaning - no chemicals so it can never have baked-on residue removed and it just builds up until the oven must be replaced. I have been a Jardin, Oster, Sunbeam fan for many, many years. Not anymore!

TOAST - PLEASE READ

The toast feature despite other negative reviews works perfectly. The key is to USE and SET all 3 knobs. The temperature knob must be set to 250 (lowest) or 275; knob should be set to “toast”; and finally, timer knob should be set to no more than 3-5 minutes. If all 3 knobs are set, and temp knob to lowest temperature, then toast does not burn or overcook.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Brought another oster model back i bought this morning as fan didn't work, purchased this one and the fan does not work! what are the odds of two diff models bought the same day at the same store and both the fans don’t work?!? I’ve wasted too much time on Oster. i see this same issue over and over again. Perhaps Oster should take it more seriously, or hire a better quality control person or CEO.

I love using this thing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my toaster oven for 3 years and I use it daily and it is the most reliable toaster oven that my family has ever had.
I recently let a friend borrow it and they loved it to BUT they ruined my broil rack and baking tray and I want to order replacements for the rack and tray.
I would recommend this to a friend!
