Hinge broke

I use almost everyday, so in saying lid hinge broke? Can I replace it

Poor coating quality

I’ve had this for 6 months with adult use only, which mean only silicone utensils and the coating is coming off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the skillet!

I use this skillet to community donuts and works fantastic….plan on getting another in addition so I can do more than 6 at a time….had it a year and works fabulous!

Limited Recipes

I just bought your skillet 2 days ago, I am 65 & never used an electric skillet...I know, don't say it. I was hoping that your website would give me some recipes or possibly a recipe book. But under the recipe tab there isn't a listing for the electric skillet. Do you provide such a book. The booklet that came with the skillet only had a few recipes.

Terrible heat/heat distribution

The first time I used this was today and the heating is absolutely terrible. I was cooking pancakes, which I’ve done many times. One side of this skillet was burning them to the point of smoking! The other side wasn’t even ready to flip! I had to turn the heat down to keep from burning them and then they didn’t cook all the way through. If I adjusted the heat, it wasn’t cooking them, if I turned it up, it began to smoke. I purchased this because Oster is supposed to be a great brand. I previously had a much cheaper one. I am very disappointed because I use an electric skillet often.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No worries, we are here to help. To remedy this issue, check if there is no physical damage on its cord and if there's none, try unplugging the unit. Let the unit rest for 3-5 minutes. Then, plug it into a different wall outlet. Do not use it with any extension cords, power strips, and power converters or inverters as it may affect the electric skillet's performance.

Replacement handle

Coating comes off

I have only had this for about 4 months, and the coating that's supposed to last a long time, started chipping 3 months in. Sadly I cannot find the receipt to claim on the warranty.
