Hinged Lid design not so safe

We were using daily but then stopped using the skillet when we got tired of getting slightly steam burnt and having to reposition the lid so it would close tight as it does does not fall in place while the lid is sitting on its side base. It does sit safely in place when the side base is not being used. Also, when we opened the lid by holding its side lid taking precaution to avoid the hot steam from coming out too fast and burning us we failed. I managed to find a different approach of handling the steam issue by holding the side handle and movable side piece that sits on the side base and opened the lid from the long side and this way allow steam to come out away from me, but this option is not quite safe either as the piece that sits on the side's base is not a handle.
The non-stick is fantastic. The heating element design of heating from the outside in, caused meats sitting right on top of the element to be overcooked while foods sitting at the center of the skillet to be okay.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Short cord

Nice skillet. Cooks evenly. Cord is too short. Only 27 inches, needs to be 4 ft or longer.

Good tool for cooking on the truck

Using this to cook on truck. I have a 1500watt inverter. Although the specs match up, I am wondering what the surge wattage is as I am having difficulty using this. Anyway, the one time I have used it, the clean up was beyond easy! Not having access to running water, I need easy clean appliances and cookware. I cooked a pound of chorizo and 18 eggs! Clean up was a snap!

Needs improvement

I like the pan however the plug I do not like it doesn't plug in very well and comes out with the slightest bump as well as beinga very short cord.. And I can see why several have had issues with the lid. The hinge seems weak. tHe decorative trip is extremely flimsy.
I have only used 2 times and it cooks great( as long as the plug is in).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Won’t cook on low temps

Have had for about 2 years and unless set close to 400 degrees it won’t cook.

This is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are help. It might be because the unit is not getting enough power from the wall outlet where it is currently plugged in or the wall outlet itself is a non working outlet. To remedy this issue, check if there is no physical damage on its cord and if there's none, try unplugging the unit and let it rest for 3-5 minutes. Plug the unit into a different wall outlet and see if it will work.

If troubleshooting techniques won't work, please contact us directly regarding the warranty or would like to obtain warranty service so we can determine the best resolution. We would love to get this taken care of as soon as possible.

Poor quality

Very disappointed in this. The hinged lid had the pin fall out
and the nonstick is chipping and scratching.

Hinge on lid breaks - do not buy!!!!

The piece/hinge that holds the lid open broke during normal use and the skillet isn't even 6 months old!

Replacement part

I bought this skillet approximately 1 year ago. Dropped the skillet and broke the cool touch handle. ereplacement parts does not carry the handle. Do you have any suggestions where I can find a handle. Love you skillet!
