[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome build quality. The overall feel is solid and premium. The thing that surprised me is such a lightweight laptop could do so much work. It’s definitely not a gaming device but it is more than enough for everyday work and entertainment. It works great with my 4k monitor. Don’t be afraid to choose FHD display because it gives you more battery life when you are traveling and at home or office it is most likely you are connected to an external monitor! In summary I have a great feeling that I chose X1 Carbon from Lenovo!

Everything is great- except Fn, Ctrl keys change

But why they changed the placement of the Function and Control keys is a mystery - and was really annoying. Yes, I got used to it, but this is my chance to vent! Otherwise, I'm happy with the purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was assigned this new ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 (14") by my company, and I LOVE it!
**The things I like:
- It is lightning fast, even with several apps running at once.
- The 14" mid-size is convenient when working at home and also for taking it with me to meetings and such.
- The battery life is excellent even when meeting on Zoom.
- Speakers and microphone work great and I don't have to use headphones for meetings and webinars.
- All the necessary ports - USB, USB-C, HDMI, and even an aux port for headphones for when I need privacy.
- This is minor, but I like that the volume and brightness controls are dedicated keys that don't require pressing the FN key simultaneously. So easy to control quickly.
**Things I don't like:
- Haven't found any yet!
