I think I bought a ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 Intel (14") with Windows rather than Linux. It is a good device that I can use for conducting various tasks concurrently. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a light, fast laptop with a 16:10 screen and so far really good battery life. There's even a surprising amount of I/O, especially compared to other laptops in this form factor. I do think the keyboard feels a little less pleasant to type on than previous Thinkpads. The SSD is even replaceable, which is better than some other competitors. Overall a very nice laptop, however do keep in mind that it is very expensive.
