[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a good laptop for high school or college students. However the camera quality is sub optimal for a new design, and I had to get mine replaced because the camera and touch ID didn’t work. Probably a dud product. Honestly, you could probably get a better laptop for the price, but it does the job.

Poor performing PC.
Keeps freezing on conference calls.
I thought it might be my internet (100 mbps) but it wasn’t as a colleague with a different brand computer came over to my house and we both participated on the call connected to the same wifi… he had no issues while i kept freezing.
Previous X1 carbon generations worked much better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The overall form factor and build quality is just outstanding. Its lightweight and portable. The number of ports and being able to open up the back if you want to upgrade the ssd is so great. No laptop on the market has these features at this price point. Oh and how did I forget the battery. It lasts super long and the quick charge. I definitely made the right choice.
