[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome machine. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 Intel 14" has worked well. Was able to move over 90% of previous HP laptop docs & apps. Stayed on Windows 10 to insure my older applications would run (some will not on Windows 11). Really enjoy the facial recognition logon. The 2.5lb weight is impressive and appreciated as carry on when flying. As with most laptops, the price goes up fast when you opt for more memory and SSD drive capacity. What I miss is SD card slot which they could have incorporated. I understand the laptop thickness will not allow ethernet port SO you need to add multiport dongle adapter for ethernet port, SD slot, more USB ports, and USB C power port - around $100. The screen clarity with 3840x2400 really helps on photo editing and everyday readability/eye strain reduction. I do wish they had a 15" screen - I would have bought that... Keyboard worked well on vacation. I use attached keyboard at home. Have never ran low on power (yet) so appreciate the long battery life. Overall, the speed of the machine is very fast and the "feature" I enjoy the most. Hope this has been helpful for others.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very happy with this laptop, especially the excellent port selection, good battery life, and 16:10 display, a huge plus for any kind of serious work. Build quality is top-notch and speaker sound is surprisingly full. The only disappointment is the webcam, which is low-resolution and color-shifted blue. Other than that, home run.
