If you love previous Gen X1 Carbon, you will love this. Upgraded mine from X1 Yoga 2nd Gen because as I rarely use the pen nowadays. Its slightly smaller and lighter and yet still maintaining the same screen size, which is perfect for me. On the annoying side, Windows 11 is not recommended yet as there are some issue (as of Oct 6, 2021) as there is some problem with VPN connection (super slow, lost packet). There is also some kind of compatibility issue with the Lenovo ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 Dock (often no display on external monitor when resume from sleep). Having all these problems, I am not sure if its a good upgrade as I don't see huge speed performance upgrade from my previous laptop based on the work I do. The User Presense Sensing can be annoying at times as the laptop will wake up even if you just walk pass your laptop. Also, any slight mouse movement will wake the laptop up and there doens't seems to be a way to disable it.

My only complaint is that I wish the video/camera were better. The camera is relatively low quality for the calibre of this laptop.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a second gen X1 Carbon that honestly was/is faster then this new one. The screen is clearer on my new one, but overall wish I stuck with the laptop I had. It was so old I was afraid the battery would just go one day, but honesty wish I just got a new battery for it.
