[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 16:10 ratio screen is wonderful. Don't like the reduction in keyboard travel, but it's still a good keyboard. Great performance and battery life. I've owned almost every generation of the X1 Carbon, and this is the best one yet. But I would prefer the longer key travel of the previous models.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Thinkpads since the IBM era in 2006. And this Thinkpad is just a continuation of a legendary design and quality. You cannot go wrong with a Lenovo Thinkpad. Best among the bests!
There is constant coil noise coming from the laptop. It's well documented online, but Lenovo didn't fix this basic issue with this machine. I returned it. Maybe the gen 10 will be good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You can't really go wrong with the X1 series if you are using it for business. My staff have been submitting fewer support tickets compared to when we had everyone with Dell XPSs. These are a great upgrade and while more expensive than the XPS lines, the money is well spent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love those computer. It’s got everything I need for business and school and many more. Only downsize is the battery life but that’s what happened when you get a 4k screen.
Great form factor: screen is big and SUPER clear, the keyboard is very comfortable, the fingerprint reader mostly works. I also love the trackpoint thing - I know you either love it or hate it, but I find it very useful, especially when on a plane. I opted for the hi-res screen at the cost of touch. The screen is AMAZING, but I do kinda miss the touch (I have a couple of Surface Pros and the touchscreens are convenient). The X1 kind of sets the bar for me for what a Windows laptop should be.
