I actually got this as a gift for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves it! He's mentioned that he's been wanting this laptop but I'm a Mac girl so I wasn't sure which Lenovo laptop to get him. After doing careful research, I decided on the ThinkPad. The customer rep was so knowledgeable and so patient! He helped me through the whole process. Overall fantastic purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the look of the Carbon X1 Gen9. I was hesitant on purchasing a thinkpad laptop because some models look bulky and a bit outdated, but the X1 carbon looks amazing. The keyboard feels very nice and has to be one of the best keyboards ive used on laptops to date. This model is also very portable and feels light but sturdy. The battery life is surprisingly long lasting. Every time I checked the battery percentage I was surprised to see how much was left. The fingerprint scanner is also a cool feature, plus you can also use windows hello to sign in. One of the biggest reasons I chose this laptop was because of the variety of ports. I love having an HDMI port without having to carry around a dongle. I've already used all the ports on different occasions at work and it's so practical. I recommend this laptop to anyone that is constantly on the go and wants a light, sturdy, good looking device that has multiple ports to get any job done. 5 stars.

A great laptop. I've always loved ThinkPad for their build quality, I've own a thinkpad x201, T470s and now the X1 Carbon and I'm impressed by the improvement in usability, in particular the trackpad is much much better than the T470s. Battery life could be better though and maybe offer Linux support for fingerprint scanner.

I replaced an 8 year old Lenovo laptop, this thing is a dream. It is very thin and lightweight. I am impressed by the battery life at this point. I would not discourage anyone with this purchase.
