[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] everything is great about this laptop, but sometimes face issue with the fingerprint detector. It glitches and cannot detect fingerprint at times which is little more frequent than it should be and also the screen keeps showing something has gone wrong message at the top for some reason. But otherwise this laptop is great.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect laptop for on the go. Build quality and touchsceren features are top-notch and like with all Lenovo laptops, HW / Lenovo software are cinch to keep updated.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Light and fast. Asy to use and carry. Disappointed with the computer sleeve, it should should be sleeker. I replaced my previous 6th generation x1 carbon to stay current. Allowed win 11 update no problems
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great laptop. Thin and light yet strong and mighty. Very handsome and easy to travel with. You'll likely need a dock to run multiple monitors and periphials but I'd buy this one all over again if given the choice. Coming from the latest surface pro and couldn't be happier with the swap.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new laptop's camera wasn't working, and I had to take it to a repair shop right away, but still giving it 5 stars, because this machine is so awesome.
I'm not new to X1 Carbon - I've been using one for work for several years. I liked it so much that I decided to buy one for personal use as well.
Usually when you are choosing a laptop, you have to decide whether you need it to be lightweight or to have a decent screen and perform well. X1 Carbon is one of the few models that don't force you to compromise. It's both lightweight and powerful, but also durable, withstanding years of everyday use and possibly even being occasionally dropped. It's also one of the few laptops officially supporting Linux. All screen options are decent, but of course high DPI ones look somewhat better. A few other nice features are TrackPoint, which is handy when you have nowhere to put your mouse, camera cover and USB-C monitor support. The latter is very convenient: a single cable can take care of video, USB devices and provide power to the laptop.
The only thing I would change about this machine (apart from the price of course) is the screen size. I'd prefer a 15-inch screen, even if that made the laptop slightly heavier. Other than that, I'm really happy with it.
