I very much like the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 Intel design. It's lightweight, easy to pack and perfect to travel with. I haven't used it a whole lot yet, but am very happy with my purchase. The processor works fast and the battery life is great. An overall solid laptop.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the screen ratio! (A change is as good as a rest, sorry 16:9.) Fingerprint sensor integrated into top-mounted power switch is a great improvement. Hinge seems improved over gen 8 too. Trackpad is super slippery which I think is good but took some getting used to.Trackpoint seems slightly more robust too. Side-mounted speakers make sense. Almost certainly the best laptop ever made.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lightweight, Snappy Laptops for our typical user. Office applications, web browsers, standard business apps like QuickBooks, etc, all run without a hitch and are snappy. While it may work well for high-utilization users like developers, I'd recommend a more powerful system. In general, this is quickly becoming our standard system for all users.
The USB-C interface allows our users to quickly change desks or a USB-C dock in the conference room. It has greatly improved our IT teams ability to standardize on equipment for users and ensure compatibility for all users.
Quick access to HDMI ports helps our sales team when traveling. Hardly ever have to use a travel USB-C dock for Ethernet or VGA access.
