[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is a clear performance leap between this X1 and the previous G8. It is very visible and I would say more so than prior generations. This laptop is extremely light and nice. I always have liked the ThinkPad because its black matte finish. It is simple and doesn't attract attention. I don't use my work laptop to show off to others. It is there for work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Another Thinkpad success for me. I've purchased 6 Thinkpads over the years and haven't been disappointed yet. My last one was five years old when I purchased this one. This model was not the most expensive, full featured one, largest screen model I have bought, but I am very satisfied in its performance, look and feel, and size. The price was perfect. My needs have changed as most of the programs or files I use are not stored on my laptop any longer. It is lightweight, connects easily to different wireless locations, and wireless printers. I'm a fan and yes, I like the little red pointed button too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Huge improvement over my previous Surface Pro 2017. Very zippy when using Photoshop in comparison and has handled everything I have thrown at it. The first few days I had problems with momentary freezing of the cursor even just when using a word file but that may have been a problem related to missing updates because it went away after I used Lenovo Update Center to update all of the firmware etc. I am especially impressed with the battery life and, in conjunction with the docking station, powers all three monitors with no problems at all...
