I paid several hundred dollars to add on Vantage Smart Performance, Smart Privacy and a 3-year warranty. Smart Privacy would not run. I called the service number. I spent an hour on chats and phone run arounds and was on hold for 30 minutes before I finally gave up. Smart Privacy still will not run. I have been ripped off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's everything that it is cracked up to be, with one exception. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 is extremely lightweight, has a comfortable backlit keyboard, good battery life, bright screen, and is speedy. However, the video camera quality is surprisingly low.
