[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The X1 Carbon Gen 9 is everything I wanted in a laptop. The 14" is perfect; it is small enough that it is super portable and lightweight but the display is bigger than many competing 13" laptops without a 14" option. The battery life is stellar and the keyboard is amazing. The option to have Ubuntu pre-installed and working out of the box is great. I only have two issues: The laptop is pretty expensive compared to laptops in the same category with similar specs and the function key is to the left of the ctrl key which makes for awkward typing sometimes if you are used to using left ctrl.
