[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Thinkpad X1C, previous one is the 2018 model. I have to say, I am always so satisfied with my experience using X1C, which is elegant, lightweight and easy to use. The only thing I feel not so good is the A surface with three logos, which is not necessary.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little nervous to get an x1 carbon. I've had many t4** and t5** and others over the years. My t480 was the last to have the internal/external battery combo. This this is a beast though! for casual tasks, I'm getting 10ish hours of battery. When I push it hard, the battery life goes down drastically, but it keeps up! This is what I'd expect (and exactly what I get from my P51).
After many years I finally replaced an older and heavy Thinkpad running Debian with the X1 Carbon Gen 9. I wish Lenovo would give you the option of choosing to not install any operating system such as Windows OS. My main purpose for the X1 was to use Debian Linux with it. It runs great and everything works including the fingerprint reader. I also love the 14" screen size - it is perfect for me and super lightweight.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I made a custom order, the platform said to ship my order in 2+ months, but it's arrives in 2 weeks That's great! The laptop itself is excellent to work because has a soft keyboard and bright screen (500 nits).
In my case, I selected "Human presence detector" feature, it works great, including when I use glasses.
Design elegant and great long-lasting battery (at least by 15 hours).
The only think what I don't like is the HDMI port position. It's on the left, I would appreciate it being on the right side because I use a secondary monitor on the right (Maybe could be an option to customize).
Bought it for business use. It has exceeded all expectations. It is fast, efficient, and provides the security I need to successfully operate my book of business.
