With the ability to customize your build, it makes it extra easy to buildout which will take you more than 5 years ahead in technology. We have ~100 of these units ad the ones we purchased in 2017 are still free of issues and working well. Lenovo Premier Support is well worth the extra money when you need on-site service. Gives us the flexibility to retain the laptop in our custody while having it repaired, rather than sending off-site.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My fourth ThinkPad. The most amazing machine yet I have ever gotten my hands on. An absolute beast. Light and durable. Battery life is around 6 hours with coding and compiling but I don't complain. Works not so well with openSUSE Leap but does an incredible job with Tumbleweed.

It performance excellent on windows and ubuntu. Really happy with my purchase. Only problem seems to be with the fingerprint reader that it sometimes doesn't work.

My needs were a 14' laptop for general purpose & personal use. We have a corded internet so be aware that you will need a separate connecter for that. There is a backlit keyboard (with 2 brightness settings), no touch screen and a fingerprint reader that I couldn't get to work but is there. The capability is there for Windows 11 but came with Windows 10, which is what I desired. The biggest plus for this computer is the light weight. I travel overseas where the carry on weight allowance keeps shrinking and a light weight computer is a must The computer is somewhat pricey but I hope it is worth it down the road. I purchased my Lenova through a rep on the phone and didn't feel pushed or pressured as I was trying to make up my mind- my computer was shipped and arrived very quickly which was something I needed because of upcoming travel. Overall, at this point in time, I am satisfied with my purchase.
