[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the design, sleekness, speed, security… finally a computer I feel safe taking with me everywhere I go!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice, solid laptop with a very good keyboard. However, I must say I expected better performance relative to a 2016 Dell XPS 13 (9360) that I'm replacing (also i7 but only 8GB ram vs 32GB on the ThinkPad). The ThinkPad is definitely faster, but not by a huge amount. I'll keep it primarily because it has a 16x10 screen vs 16x9, the keyboard is nicer, and the touchpad is much nicer.
I was also expecting to beat the XPS wrt battery life, but they are very similar under similar use. For me, that's about 9 hrs if I'm careful: balanced power setting, turn screen to mid-level brightness and let it sleep after 4 minutes of idle time. (FWIW, I recently replaced the battery on the XPS with an OEM part--so it's fresh and makes for a good comparison.) I wonder if Win 11 (ThinkPad) uses more power than Win 10 (XPS)
Overall, a nice and light laptop that is worth the money....but probably hard to justify an upgrade to a 3-4 year old laptop if it's still meeting your needs.
