[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this laptop to replace a defective Microsoft Surface Pro. Spent countless hours watching YouTube videos of this laptop compared with others such as Dell XPS 13 and HP Spectre. Ended with this due to a few factors. 1) The reliability of the Thinkpad brand. I've used Thinkpad for over 20 years and grown to love the red dot mouse cursor and the reliability of it. 2) It has more ports than Dell XPS 13 and less bloatware then HP Spectre with better SSD. 3) It is very light for travel. Though, I would like to see it smaller and did considered the X1 Nano. But wanted the better performance Intel CPU on the X1 Carbon instead.
Overall, very pleased with the laptop and design. While Intel is a bit more battery consumption than AMD Razen, the advantages of the TB4 ports outweigh that factor. AMD not having TB4 limits the expandability of it. This was the primary reason I had ruled out the Microsoft Surface Laptop series.
A few things I think would make it better. 1) A tad smaller to compete with the Dell XPS 13 size form factor and still maintain the higher performance. The X1 Nano compromise that a bit. 2) Have the USB-C port on both left and right side of the laptop with charging capability. 3) 1080P webcam. 4)

I would recommend this to a friend!

Tiger Lake, Thunderbolt 4, Intel Iris Xe Graphics, and Intel EVO vPro Certified to boot. Along with the superb keyboard here are some really very good speakers as well.
The 16:10 display I find easy on the eyes and yet very natural.
I have not yet been able to explore all of its features - but for now I am thrilled.
Fortunately the timing of the purchase four weeks ago was at an incredible $1,498.11 incl. tax. My brand loyalty goes on!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love everything about this computer. This is my second X1 carbon and I will never buy another computer again. It's very, very durable and very fast. I use it every single day. They've really improved the speaker system from the last X1 that I had, and I just have absolutely no complaints!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great laptop for work. It is light weight, feels great when working on it, very well made. The performance on it is second to none. We used to recommend Dell XPS's to people who asked us, but now this is our go to laptop. Could not say anything bad about it.
