[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been using my ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 for about 2 weeks now, and I'm loving it! It is so fast, minimal bloatware, comfortable keyboard, and long battery life (so far!). The only thing I wish I had paid attention to when ordering was that a number pad on the keyboard is an OPTION not standard. I don't use a number pad often, but it's convenient at times. Love, love, love this computer!

I'm comfortable with Lenovo pcs and the track ball... the X1 is smaller, thinner and much more powerful even though it shares the same screen size. Overall the features, support and value cannot be beat. I am a BIG FAN!!! Looking forward to many hours, weeks and years of enjoyment from my X1 Carbon!

It is extremely light, extremely fast for daily use, the battery lasts hours and hours and doesn't overnight. My favorite thing about this device is the screen - it is high resolution and reacts to the level of brightness in the room to give a paper-like response, meaning that you can see the screen easily even in very bright sunlight.

Great replacement for an aging X230 Thinkpad

The X-1 is very light and a much thinner profile; screen is perfect, great clarity. Connects to everything that the old one controlled in the past. I used to upgrade computer components in my laptops and desktops; but, this one has soldered memory boards. While power should not be an issue, as I move forward we shall see if I feel a need to upgrade a drive and how easy that may be. In the interim, this is a perfect traveling companion.
