[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I'm happy with the X1 Carbon gen 9. I've bumped into an issue with Ubuntu not shutting down properly (see discussion here https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Ubuntu/X1-Carbon-Gen-9-Ubuntu-support-OEM-image-and-instructions/m-p/5096435?page=1#5418769) but Lenovo support is being very helpful and I solved by simply installing the most recent version of Ubuntu.
