[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm new to Lenovo products, I have been sawing after the X1 since the Gen 6. I have been using until now a model from a manufacture that no longer creates a laptop anymore. The laptop has a raid controller with SSD, graphics card, and some other advanced features that were ahead with the times. I have been using it for seven-plus years. I moved to Lenovo as they seemed fit to the quality products, support, and features that will last. I'm a fan of only business great computers.
I only have the laptop now for a week. The first impression; Having a 16:10 ratio screen is the way to go. I waiting extra time until the 4k option was available. The battery feature is another aspect that stands out. It great to see how Lenovo is using the new battery technology to improve the battery and performance. I'm also pleased that they made sure to have a way to swap the function & control button along with the ability to turn off the function button as a default.
If you are looking for a powerful fast lightweight laptop, have no use for a graphics card, and a little extra cash. The X1 Carbon is a great choice.
I wish they had a raid controller as an option even though it's not needed.
