[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen 2 user for 7 years before I put it into retirement. The build quality of Gen 9 is less than its predecessor from 7 years ago. You can hear slight electric current noise if you come close to the left side of the keyboard. The travel distance of the keyboard is lesser than the Gen 2 from 7 years ago. Finger scanner doesn't work half of the time you try. Left and right mousepad button never response the first time you click on it (Has about 2 seconds delay). Here are the Cons from a 7-year X1 Carbon User. I will not waste my time on the Pros of this laptop, since you can easily find it online.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great everyday work laptop. Very light and easy to use! Quality of materials is really good. Have used this laptop daily for more than 6 months now and totally love it. Quick start up and have had no issues with production, screen or programs.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love everything about this laptop. I got in an amazing price around 1500$. Therefore, I know that I would not be able to find any similar configuration from other brands at this price. It is an amazing laptop with no doubt.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I initially got the X1 tablet gen 3 but returned it due to issues with screen sensitivity. Then got this one which is a clear winner. I had also looked carefully at offerings from Dell, Samsung, Toshiba, and Microsoft (surface pro). While this is a more traditional format (no tablet mode, digital pen, nor detachable keyboard) the lightness and ruggedness/reliability fully meets my needs. While other offerings may have had some attractive aspects (like price) looking at reviews i was convinced that the Thinkpad line was much more rugged. I could easily see this in my office laptops (Dells vs. Thinkpads).
