[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ThinkPads are known for reliability. This one is no different. I was surprised by how lightweight it is when there is no compromise about build quality. It's a bit too expensive but it's the best you can get if you have the budget.

However, when I ran a computation-heavy program, the laptop initially reached 4.8GHz as advertised, but then throttled the frequency down to 3.0GHz and below. It eventually hovered around 2.5GHz. It is a disappointment that the laptop cannot sustain 4.8GHz.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used a few version of the ThinkPad over the years and this one is the best yet. I love how low profile and lightweight this laptop is - it's so easy to travel with. The mousepad is very responsive. I also greatly appreciate the built in webcam cover slide. The display is very nice as well.

It's easily portable when working on the run and I can easily multi-task with various windows and programs open without slowing down the speed at which I like to work.
