[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Smoker cooks fine. However the large porcelain grill arrived chipped and the pellet hopper’s handle doesn’t fit. The holes don’t line up.

Easy and Accurate

The 700D4E is my first pellet grill/smoker, and I am very happy with how much easier and accurate it is compared to my last smoker. Operation is super simple, and it holds 225 degrees very well - set it and forget it - no more baby-sitting and tweaking. I see occasional brief excursions up to about 230 or 240 after opening the lid, but it returns quickly. Smoke is not heavy, but good enough for my tastes and leaves an acceptable smoke ring. I have been cleaning after every use, which is a tedious chore but not difficult. I do wish it had a phone app or bluetooth remote monitoring, but I can live without that knowing how much money I saved on this grill.

1]Heat fluctuates as much as 50* when set at 375
2]When set to smoke it will smoke for a few minutes at the start then no more SMOKE.
3]I set set the temp to 350* and the internal temp rose to 420 then dropped to 390 inconsistent.

conclusion. Good price but not what we expected :-(
