Can't get a sear! Won't go over 350 degrees

This is a very nice grill aesthetically speaking but where this grill drops the ball is performance (which is the most important aspect). The grill is easy to setup and the first time startup instructions are easy to follow. However, even on a mild temperature day (60 +degree days, this grill fails to even come close to reaching a high temp setting, or anything over 350 degrees. That's fine if you are only using it for low and slow smoking but it makes getting a sear on anything like a steak impossible. I jumped the gun and got rid of my gas grill but have since regretted that move. I really wanted to love this grill but seeing as how it doesn't perform up to the standards of a traeger or camp chef, I can't recommend it for the future buyer.

Battleship may be a better name for this smoker/grill. Built well with heavy materials where needed. Assembly was very simple with well written easy to follow instructions. No more babysitting a fire for me!

Love the grill. 2 people a little over an hour to put together. After the burn off and first cook the temps really settled in. Actual is about 10 degrees cooler than the display but now that I low that it’s no big deal. Amazing food. Love the smoker would buy again.

I purchased the Zgrill smoker for my husband’s birthday and he loves it!
He would have never got one for himself, but I am so glad I bought this smoker for a man that has everything !
