It's ok.

I wish I could have seen the actual grill before I made the purchase. It's OK it works OK but it's truly an entry level unit. It doesn't have the sear option nor does it have a higher operating temperature. This was purchased as a second grill and without mentioning the other product this is a definite downgrade. I didn't see in the online literature anything that said entry level. And across the board they wrote a quality description. I'm glad it's a backup grill. Still it works OK. Just wasn't aware from what I read that I was stepping down instead of across or up. I'll recommend it but be sure it's what you want. For me it wasnt

the pellets don't generate that much smoke and the grill doesn't get above 450 degrees...

Chicken, ribs and lamb so far - everything has turned out great! Very even temperatures across the cooking surface. Have been using a smoke tube to augment the smoking flavors (per the Z Grills FAQ) which is great if you want more smoke flavor. Had an issue with one of the meat probes - Z Grills customer service replaced it quickly. Assembly of the smoker was easy using the very well documented instructions. Everything fit together perfectly. Packaging was amazing. Very happy with our purchase!

Great Value / Great Product

First Z Grill and wood pellet smoker/grill/oven. After much research Z-Grills had the best reviews and value per dollar. Shipped in two boxes. Easy very easy to assemble with the directions. Grill is packaged well. Although my grill did sustain a dent from where the pellet box hit the inside of the grill lid during shipping. Easy to follow directions for burn in. And has been easy to use for cooking as well. Just as easy as propane but more flavor and more options for cooking/smoking/grilling.

Easy to put together right out of box. First smoke was rib eye steaks, came out outstanding. The next was pork ribs, and they came out very good. Learning experience for me. Wish you had a front shelf. Would recommend to everyone. Wish i had bought one sooner.

Upgrade Heaven

I upgraded from a 600D to a new 700D3 PID Grill. I have come to the conclusion that I should have started with the 700D3. My friend is going to start smoking with my old 600D, so I am happy to Re-purpose it. Thanks Z-Grills for the support and a great grilling experience.

Extremely easy to use, from loading the pellets to setting the temps. The Smoker ramped up to temp in no time and stayed at set temp perfectly.. Food smoked and tasted great! Would buy this smoker again!
