I am very happy. Smoked meats are unbelievable. Max temp is only 450-ish which is little disappointing but it is not as big of a deal to take a star down. Cooking with wood is my new (old) favorite thing. Great stuff!

Good other than temperature either fluctuates more than it should or the thermometer reads off have not tested with a seperate thermometer.

Solid with opportunities

Overall this is a solid grill/smoker. I have just a couple issues. 1. The grill lid does not make a tight fit letting smoke/heat out. I’ve tried to make adjustments to the lid to make it close tight with no success. 2. I had to add felt grill gasket to the edge of the lid to make a somewhat tighter fit. This should be something they give with the purchase of the grill. Lastly the handle is a bit flimsy when you go to move the grill. The handle is attached through the hopper with 4 screws. I would like to have seen the handle integrated into the grill itself to make it solid when you try to move the grill. Grill gets heavy when the hopper is filled.

I received the Z Grills ZPG-7002B as a housewarming gift recently. The temperature gauge works accurately, and I've grilled lots of fresh local fish here in Florida on it, as well as vegetables and potatoes--all taste delicious! I would highly recommend this model to anyone considering purchasing a wood pellet grill.

Great value.

First, delivery was fast, I had an expected delivery on a Saturday and it came on a Friday.Second, I was able to assemble easily by myself. When I did the initial startup, I didn't realize that it could take up to 20 minutes for first pellets to drop. So be patient there.Third, first set of ribs were awesome. I did a 3-2-1 recipe (just googled how to cook ribs on a pellet grill) and it turned out great.Meat was tender, bones popped out on one when I unwrapped the foil.Kids have been interested in the smoke ring in our meat. They thought it was weird at first, but once they bit in they loved it.Small negative- the grill cover is already starting to fade (only been 3 months).Update July 2020- I noticed all the screws had loosened up so I had to get a screwdriver out and retighten them. Only took a few minutes, but I don't think I've ever had to do that on other grills I've owned.

Wow for the money you can’t beat this!! The assembly is a little to do so grab yourself a drink because what you get once it’s working is awesome. The quality is better then I expected and compared to the other name brands and prices I would put this against them anyway. Have cooked on it 2-3 times a week and still I am very impressed.

Came damaged

It came damaged. Looks like it was dropped fairly hard. A little disappointed considering how much I spent on it. I decided to keep it, rather than deal with the hassle of sending it back. I’m hoping the gap caused by the warped metal won’t mess with the temperature.EDIT: Was contacted by the seller and they were amazing. They made it right and were very pleasant to work with. I’ve recommended them to all my friends. They make a fantastic product.

Assembly wasn’t difficult. I’ve done ribs and a chicken so far. Both turned out great. At this point everything is great. Summer just started so we’ll see how it holds up.
