So far, so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everyone said to smoke chicken thighs right out of the box (because you can't screw them up). Turned out great- just need to experiment with different rubs.
Next, did a pork butt. Wife said best pork butt she's ever tasted. Took quite a bit longer than the recipe suggested but I may have been using an inferior meat thermometer. As other reviews have mentioned, I'd like to see it be able to get a bit hotter for true searing but can always do that afterwards in a cast-iron skillet.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality- seems very comparable to Traeger.
