Excellent For the Price

I bought this watch as back up for my Garmin for my Fenix 6s. I use it occasionally and it’s a fantastic watch for the price. The watch can track HIIT workouts with having to add any apps. It’s light weight and an overall great fitness tracker.

Not sure if I made the right choice.

I ordered the 55 and should have stayed with the 35. I am still struggling to use the 55 properly. The 35 was so easy to use. This has been an up hill battle for me.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues setting up the device. We would encourage you to start out on our support site for help with that issue. Also you can connect with our team for assistance there as well. Thank you for posting a review.
I was given the Forerunner 55 as a Christmas gift, and I absolutely love it! It has taken me a little time to get used to all the features, but now that I have gotten the hang of how to navigate through the watch, it has gotten easier to use. The data is more accurate than old watch, and I love how much more it tracks. My only issue is that my wrist has had an allergic reaction to the metal clasp on the band. I need to find a band that my skin doesn't react to.

I purchased this watch in order to keep track of my runs. rides, and workouts. I specially needed that that the battery lasted more than a day. GPS works great when outside, but if you are recording workouts at a gym or somewhere indoors seems like the GPS signal is not great, which isn't a deal breaker for me, would be nice if the workout feature would use steps as distance. Also would be nice if the App would sync with Google Fit.
Other than that I love the rest of the features, like the HR monitor, the sleep monitor, stress monitor and some others I haven't played with much.

Overall great running watch with upgraded features

I upgraded from the Forerunner 35 to the 55. The GPS engages faster, which I really like. It also appears to be more accurate. I really like the Body Battery function (which wasn't on the 35). It uses HRV (heart rate variability), a more accurate measure to determine when or how long you need to recover from an activity. A few things I'm still getting used to--how many buttons are needed to push to get to various functions. It is more complicated than the 35, but that could be because I'm still learning how to use it. I'm also getting used to notifications not popping up instantly, but doing a step before I can see emails etc. Overall, it is a great watch and good value for the $.

Great features to track health

I have been using the forerunner 55 for a month now and I couldn’t be more than happy with my purchase. I tracks pretty much everything related to your Health and fitness. I love pretty much all of the features, however my favorite ones are the sleep track, body battery And active and on active calories burned. I also have the 1030+ power meter and the RS 200 pedals And when the activity is completed whether it’s from your watch or the power meter it is saved automatically to the app so you can see your numbers. The watch is really very easy to use and to set up, you can change the faces of your watch so you can have the data that you want on the face or just the time shown. I track calories burned and heart rate on the watch for yoga and weight training such as HIIT or just cardio work outs. I believe someone serious about their fitness should own one of these watches as it will show you how you are doing and when you are improving or what your numbers are so you know what to do to improve those numbers. Also I think this is a must for Cyclist

I bought my Garmin Forerunner 55 on January 11, 2022. I love it! The features are so much better than the Fitbit I was wearing before. As a new runner I needed to monitor my miles and speed. not just steps. This device has so much more. It talks to My Fitness Pal so my calorie count is monitored as well. I am still learning how to use it, such as the mapping features, but it has seemed pretty easy so far (I’m 67, so electronics can be hard for me to figure out sometimes). Using the metrics of my Garmin I have lost 4 pounds so far, and today is only 2 weeks and 3 days since my purchase (I’m close to goal weight, CW: 153; GW: 135-140). Get one!
