I highly recommend if you’re a beginner runner, vital monitoring is pretty accurate for the price and the gps is very accurate. Overall great watch

My daughter is a runner and needed a more functional way of tracking her time and distance. This watch was exactly what she needed and was at a great price for her getting into the GPS tracking watches.

I am having difficulty getting used to this watch. I have always used a Garmin, but I only need the basics, which I had with the 25s. I don't need the extra features and am not able to see the information that I want to see while I am wearing the watch. I have to download to my computer to see what the pace per mile is, etc.The pacing doesn't seem to be correct either, especially on the treadmill.

The Forerunner 55 is as basic as is gets. You have to go through tons of watch faces via the app, with few free available, to find one to see anything in addition to the time. To get to any of the additional benefits of having a smartwatch, you have to press 1 of 5 buttons on the side of the watch several times to scroll a menu, select, and exit, etc. Not only it this taxing, for anyone with arthritis, tactile, or motor function issues, is this majorly painful, it’s also extremely uncomfortable to sleep with it on. Thus, I just wear it during the day, look at whatever few stats are constantly on the face, and don’t take advantage of any other feature.
It’s a shame, because Garmin has some great programs and options available, however, there are so few ADA devices at an affordable price point.

I.m 84 and an ex ultramarathoner. I run daily and use my watch. For me it is overloaded. I'd like Time-Pace-Distance- Vo2max - Steps and time of day only. Thx Louis
