I've had a Garmin Forerunner since Model 35. The Model 55 has all the great features of the Model 35 with added features like the Body Battery, a health monitoring function, on the Garmin The data transfers to the Garmin App and to Strava effortlessly.

REALLY DISAPPOINTED!!

Ι bought the watch from an e-shop a few days ago. I followed the instructions to set it up and it seemed to be fine. When I used it for running, I noticed huge discrepancies in both the mileage and pace it recorded. I used it again at the same time as an exact same watch of an acquaintance of mine which was tested to work correctly and the readings had deviations of approximately five minutes per km (!!). I really don't understand what I have to do to fix this and I am really disappointed because I spend a lot of money and I don't have a watch whitch could help me to to complete my preparation for the Athens marathon.

Multiple faces available: I like old school analog

Just got it yesterday. I like esthetic of the Forerunner 55. Like the larger fonts used. Like the timer, alarm, and stopwatch functionality. Don't like the navigation button names. It's not intuitive which button does what. Learning curve seems a bit daunting compared to Forerunner 35 which was my previous watch.

I want to love it but...

I realize that I need to take responsibility but it's hard to learn, not intuitive for me after years wearing the Apple iWatch. I decided to leave Apple when the face fell off my second iWatch but when it worked, I liked the features. My new Garmin in not comfortable for me on my wrist and none of the 50+ button clicks resulted in the simple takes I was attempting to do (turn the screen bright so I could see the face, start a run, turn the dial from one activity to the next from the screen with the activities) so I will need to go online and get to know my Garmin better. If I do and like it I will update my review!

Amazing Watch for a reasonable price

Still getting to know all of it's features. Love all of the data I get for my runs. GPS is very accurate. It under estimates distances, but by an insignificant amount. It more than meets my needs for tracking running, biking and walking. I highly recommend this watch.

Forerunner 55 to replace my old friend 4runnr 35

I had a Forerunner 35 for years. Simple but had a horrible system for the band. The 55 improves the band attachment to something like a regular watch. It does more than the old 35 and is not so complicated that I couldn't get it to tell me the time and date. I haven't used it to track an activity yet but that doesn't look too difficult either.

I bought the 55 and I was a bit disappointed, Not easy to get used, work outs not easy to make. Way too much stuff in the app. I think I will give a shot at coros next time
