Works like a chum cant feel it while running easy to see time while running pace pro strats works good suggested workouts are low key dog (if that’s a feature you don’t care about buy the 45) tracks like a beast mileage on point no miscalculation shows pace splits easy takes a like 5% battery after using gps for 90min buy it if fw pacepro stats or else get 45 it’s just as good no music on this one tho

Went beyond my expectations

I wanted a watch I could trust the measurements. So after talking with a couple friends that run, they told me a Garmin would be the best choice, as it has the best gps signal, the best app info, the best data to study, and so on. So I chose the FR 55, even it being an entry model, it still offers a lot. And it offers all I need. No music, no need to swim, no need other features, etc. It offers the essential enough.
It has a nice design, is very light, and doesn't bother at all. I try to keep it 24/7. The screen is awesome. It reflects the light, so it looks like it's turned on and have a backlight but no. It saves a lot of battery. Talking about the battery, it's a good one, it can hold up to 2 wees or more depending on the use. The app is outstanding, and you can also download its sibling and choose a huge variety of watchfaces, which is amazing.
So, that is it, that's my opinion. I loved the watch. I think I could've bought it earlier haha because I liked it a lot.

Pretty good so far

I have loved Garmin for years! I've had forerunners since the 15. With each one there has been updates and changes. The 55 is no different. I went with the aqua since it's my favorite color! I feel like it fits better on my arm with the removable bands instead of the slightly curved band of my 45. It does everything I need, tracking steps, heartrate, and everything else. I love the breath work option, and stair step option. I'm working on getting a better fitness age and volmax. It seems on this one though that the buttons have a more springy feel to them, but works good. Customer service at garmin is always accommodating and helpful.

Not great for tracking indoor (treadmill) runs

Even with the calibration option it will not show accurate distance. Had to return the watch

So far so good

Very pleased so far. About a dozen runs with this watch. Everything I expected. Very accurate pace calculator and good interface for the phone. Watch is very lightweight and a pleasure to wear. Sometimes a little hard to see without glasses on. I would buy it again.

Kinda of disappointed

I wanted to use it for running/walking, weight lifting class, elliptical, spin class. Good for elliptical, run/walking but I can not get spin or weight lifting, very disappointed. When I bought it I point asked the sales person and they said yes. If there is some secret I would appreciate someone letting me know how to get this.

I got this watch for my birthday and the holidays and I couldn’t be happier with it. I finally upgraded from the Forerunner 35 and I’m loving all the new features it comes with. This is a solid affordable running watch with great features for the price.
