I had a first generation forerunner for years so the transition to this one was a breeze. The accuracy in heart rate and other features outshines other smart watches that I have had.

Perfect and Easy to Use

I started running about a year ago and finally decided to purchase a running watch. I've been using my Garmin Forerunner 55 for about a month now and love it. The battery lasts forever and it's nice and easy to use. I love that there are multiple exercise functions but just wish it included a weight lifting function as well.

I bought the Garmin 55 to replace my Garmin 35. The 55 is a better watch except for the font size for the notifications. I could read the notifications on the 35 but they are too small on the 55. Come on Garmin, get on the ball and update to a larger font.

I traded in my old Forerunner 210 for the 55. What a difference. I ended up turning off all of the notification features as I go out running to forget about all that stuff for a moment. Easy setup. Great features. Quick GPS connection.

OK product, but a bit disappointed

This product has worked well for most of my runs, bike rides and pool swims, but I'm a bit disappointed that it can't seem to track my open water swims and has difficulty (likely inability) to connect with my smart bike trainer.
