I live above a restaurant and this does an amazing job of keeping the air fresh! It's light and portable and doesn't take a lot of space in my small NYC apartment in any way.

I bought this unit for my sons room. We live in smoke filled wildfire country and works as advertised. Not noisy in my sons opinion even when on hi speed. I also own 2 Alen BreathSmart Flex and they work better the great!!! Highly recommend!

Great for Offices, bedrooms, and garages

After being satisfied with my other Alen air purifiers, my husband wanted a small one for his office. The t500 is what I have in my girls bedrooms and garage so I bought another one for his office. I did consider another brand I have used that catches down to 0.1 microns however, from past experience, the purifier itself was cheaper, but the filters go out twice as fast therefore making it more expensive in long run. We are all dealing with mold toxcity so clean air is very important for our recovery.
He is a supervisor and shares his office with 2nd and 3rd shift supervisors. He asked them to not remove but turn off if it bother them. They all came back saying how much better it felt in the office after just a day or 2. A good quality air purifer makes a diff!
The land of air purifiers seems like a huge decision for those dealing with sick building syndrome. I have tried many diff brands and Alen is my fav. Highly recommend the Alen brand. And they are the only ones that I have seen that have silver in the filters making them a sterile environment.
Now downside to the t500. They don't have the sensor like my breath smart. They look a little cheaper than the flex. And they aren't as quiet. They are not super loud on low but if your sensitive to sounds, may go with the flex if in a bedroom. Still an amazing quality for the price. And of course, they do 500 SQ feet I believe so not good for a large space so make sure to get the one that's right for the size of space. If your wanting a no frills air purifier for a smaller space, the t500 fits the bill. It does have an on/off switch for ionizer. And reminds you when it's time to change filter. However, the screen doesn't stay on so have to go check it periodically so this is good if you don't want lights on in bedroom at night but not good if you forget to replace filter. You'll have to decide for yourself if that's a pro or con. And last complaint about the t500, the filters don't last as long as the bigger air purifiers.
I do wish Alen would make one smaller as even the t500 was a little overkill for his office but after trying diff brands, I knew it would clean his office space effeciently. Plus, would like some small ones for our bathrooms.

LOVE this air purifier!!! It is sleek and well designed, and I can feel the quality of air getting better and better!!! I recently had water in my basement and was freaking out about must and potential mold, and this purifier is wonderful, thank you so much!!!
