I have purchased the Alen T500 for myself and was completely satisfied with the unit. When talking to my sister, she indicated she was behaving problems with pollen at her location in Florida. I purchased another unit for her as a gift and received a great “thank you” for the unit and it’s positive results.

Filter disappointment

Assumed filter would last at least nine months. I use it eight hours a day and must replace the filter already in 7 months at medium speed. If it remained on all the time, I can’t imagine how Soon it would need replaced.

I have purchased three of the T500 air purifiers for different rooms of my house and they do a good job of keeping down the dust and mold. The first two, which I have had for about 5 years emit a high pitched squeal from the motor which I attribute to bad bearings and the plastic latch to the filter broke off after about a year and I have to use scotch tape to hold it on. I purchased them because they offered a lifetime warranty but I didn't register them properly and Alen refused to recognize the warranty. With the new unit, I have done everything they said I needed to validate the warranty so we will see if they honor it. Since I have two, when I needed another air purifier, I decided to get one more so I have a matching set. They do filter well with the "silver" filters.

I purchased the BreatheSmart Flex at the same time and I really wish I had gotten two of those. This unit is not nearly as nice, the fan is loud.

A solid investment for my family

After months of searching for an air purifier for our newly created home gym space, we decided the Alen would be best, especially given the available lifetime warranty. So far, we are very pleased with our investment. We run it in the gym space during the day and in the bedroom at night. Perfect!
