The T500 is fairly quiet,

The T500 is fairly quiet, but after reviewing the specs i have decided the Honeywell unit may be a better value. The 500 has an ionizer feature, but pushes less air and the Honeywell brags about the ability to filter down to an extremely small particulate level, so in not sure the ionizer matters. The Honeywell is also less expensive. I tried to talk with a senior level tech at Alen to give them an opportunity to educate me on what i might be missing, but after multiple attempts with no return call i have decided to return the unit.

I've been using the tower in a bedroom for a few weeks. I have visibly noticed less dust and the air smells more crisp.

This is the fourth Alen

This is the fourth Alen Tower Air Purifier I have purchased. The first two were for me. When I niece started with allergies, I bought one for her. It has made all the difference. Now, my one year old granddaughter is suffering with respiratory related difficulties. I purchased one for her. None of us use the Ionioner feature, but benefit from the rest of the features on it. I highly recommend it.

I'm delighted with my T500

I'm delighted with my T500 Tower air purifiers (with Hepa Odor-cell filters)! Within two days I noticed a lot less dust and cat hair (we have multiple "shedders" and usually have fur dust bunnies rolling around the floor, even with daily dust mopping and sweeping). I can't help but think that this will help our HVAC system, as we had an incident when fur and hair had affected its performance. Odors are taken care of. I have stopped sneezing. We have two machines; one is in our family room (our largest room) and one is in our bedroom. The first two days I set them on the high setting, and have been running them on low ever since. During the day, I have to place my hand in front of them to make sure they are on...they are quieter than the ambient noise in the house. Customer service was friendly and informative, delivery was speedy, set up was a breeze. I vacuum the pre-filter when I vacuum the house. These machines have cut down on the time I spend cleaning house. I feel that this investment was worth every penny and would highly recommend them.

We purchased this because we recently moved to a new state and allergies were a big problem. We have been running the Alen T500 for few weeks and we have noticed a huge difference. It's very lightweight super quiet. Highly recommend.
