Lift away pocket won't lock into place

I purchased this Shark steam mop about 4 years ago and didn't like it because the water reservoir was to small. I put the mop in my closet and it sat there. I finally took this mop out and used it and fell in love with it. The small water reservoir didn't matter. This mop did the job. And I had little clean up after the job was done. Time saver!! My problem now is the unit won't lock in place. I have only had the handheld steamer unit off a couple of times and now it won't lock into place. Am I not placing the handheld steamer unit in proper alignment with the handheld steamer housing? I'm being very careful to make sure the handheld steamer unit is in proper alignment with the steamer housing but the steamer will not lock into place. Or is my problem a defective locking system? It's a shame my Shark Lift Away Pro Steam Pocket Mop didn't last very long. I'm considering getting another steam cleaning machine but it won't be a Shark.

Wow, it is as poweful as you want it to be, it comes with attachments for clothes and other areas, like bathroom... with an old dog that is having issues in my home, this is perfect for me. Once i initially got it, i tried ot, and my son was sitting on the couch and saw the difference in how clean it was. That says a lot, he is a teenager! Lol great prodict, it is worth it.

Lower steam power than my old purple lift away Pro

I bought this Shark Lift Away Pro Steam Mop to replace my old model (purple) Shark Lift Away Pro, which I had and happily used for around 5 years. The new model has noticeably lower steam power than my old one had. In fact, the old one had 3 steam power positions but the new model only has 2. Thanks to the extremely good performance of my old steam mop I decided not to go back to the traditional moping ever and even though I am no completely satisfy with the performance of the new model, I am keeping it.
The feature that is really nice is the fact that you do not need to touch the dirty mop after using it.
The steam power of the new model is comparable with the one of the Genius ( I also bought one for a family member) which costs way less.
I hope Shark can correct this for future models.

Horrible redesign

I had a Shark Steam Mop and it finally broke so I bought a new model. I hate it. I’m going to throw it in the trash. The cord is shorter, the water tank is smaller and those reusable pads are terrible. It’s so much harder to push than the old style with disposable mop sheets. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this new style of steam mop. Way to go Shark. You screwed up a great design. #No longer a Shark fan!!

Love my steam mop. Love that there is no residue, no chemicals and cleans well. Wish it produced more steam like my other shark steamer but this one is still great.

We have been trying to make this machine work three times already with no luck it looks like the body doesn’t want to like in with the casing. maybe is a bad lemon. We do not understand why it doesn’t lock in, maybe is a failure on the design; but I have not read a review on this matter.
