[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the galaxy watch2 active. I must say Samsung did a fantastic job with the galaxy watch4!! It has a quicker touch response which was a nussuance for me. The updated health features are awesome! There is as snore detection that records clips if or when you snore! It also provides blood oxygen levels.

Love the Features but the Battery is Pathetic

Upgraded Active2 and regretting the decision. I like the new features (body comp, etc.), but the battery makes it not worth it. I use very few features, keep it in battery save mode, and just wear it to track activity throughout the day, but it still has to be charged AT LEAST once a day - usually more!
The watch face options are much more limited & I don't care for them, but that's a fairly small issue. Overall, the Active2 is just a better watch. I will be returning the 4.
Last night in bedtime mode (no alerts, no screen, nothing), I lost almost 35% of the battery! If they'd fix the issue, I'd recommend it, but for now I suggest you keep your old watch.
The watch face options are much more limited & I don't care for them, but that's a fairly small issue. Overall, the Active2 is just a better watch. I will be returning the 4.

awful heart rate monitor results while exercising

I upgraded from Galaxy 3 expecting a better watch and I am very disappointed with the heart rate monitor function and the lack of watch faces with the new OS. The heart rate is so inaccurate while exercising , it's useless. I have had 3 Galaxy watches and know the rebooting drill, snug fit protocol, clean the sensors, etc..tried them all. Terrible performance for a watch that is a mate for their "Samsung Health" App...finally the watch face selections are miniscule compared to the last OS...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome upgrade

I have had this watch in the pink gold for over a month and I LOVE it! I had the active 2 and this one is so much faster, has more features, options & google play store. There are a ton of watch faces & apps to choose from to customize. The app makes customization simple and I love the upgrades to the sleep data, the snore detection & blood oxygen monitoring. It also does a nice job with the heart rate, stress monitor and all the fitness options. I like that it auto detects workouts. This watch is fantastic, I do HOPE we get google assistant in an update soon though. The battery life for me is about the same, I was hoping we would get better battery life (I don’t use AOD & I close apps) but it certainly isn’t a reason not purchase this watch…I am VERY happy with it! Samsung did an awesome job with this in my opinion
