[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Samsung phones and tablets for 5 years to great satisfaction but never bothered with the Galaxy watch. The first few generations just didn't seem worth it (and they were ugly). Seeing early reviews for the 4 though caught my eye. My fitbit had recently broke and was considering giving a smart watch a try so I said ended up picking up the 4.
Three weeks in and this things legit. The fitness tracking is way more broad then I thought. For someone who wants to see more than just how many steps they got or how many min they were "active" the pairing of this and the Samsung health app gives u a more focused breakdown of what your routine looks like. It sounds stupid, but running through everything has made my workouts more fun (we'll see how long that lasts).
Accessibility is also on point. Whether it's the layout, customization, or even simple navigation the 4 just works. Change the song, read a message, set an alarm, its all quick and easy.
Apparently they also teamed up with Google to make a better app store and OS. From a quality standpoint, regardless of how u feel about google, this seems smart and has worked well so far.
Overall, this things clean.

Day 1 was bad. Battery kept draining. So i found the link to save battery. Day 2. after 7hours of usage battery is still 83%. So the link below in one of the reviews by Samsung worked. following those instructions with clicking on Power saving mode. saves the battery. in this watch power saving mode will not make everything Gray. it just blocks background apps. I love this watch.

I traded in my old galaxy watch for the new Galaxy Watch 4, Battery life is not good, even going through battery drain tips. For some reason the watch will not vibrate when i receive messages on my phone, I have tried EVERYTHING to get this to work, reset the watch, adjusted multiple settings. At one time it did work, now nothing
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor battery life and other issurs

I really wanted to like this watch but had to send it back. The battery is horrible amongst other shortcomings.
