Loved my watch for a long time, less than 2 years later it will no longer power on. Per other sites there is or was a 2 year manufacturers warranty - per Samsung, its only one year. I purchased it in May 2022 and enjoyed it up until 6 weeks ago. Now it's just a paperweight. It will no longer power on and won't take a charge. Trying to determine if I stick with Samsung or move to a different brand - loved my watch.

Good day Luv2walk, Thank you for finding the free time out of your busy day to share your thoughts with us about your Samsung Galaxy Watch4. We value your honesty as we improve the design and functionality of our product line while we stay committed to constant innovation. Our goal is for our customers to feel like they are having the most amazing experiences when using our products. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, linked below. Did you know that we also offer Samsung Care+ that provides physical damage protection to your eligible devices? Samsung Care+ is great for those unanticipated situations we sometimes find ourselves in, like forgetting your Watch4 in the seat of your taxi on your way to catch your flight, having your Watch4 stolen from your bag, getting caught in a rainstorm without your Water Lock feature engaged, to dropping your Watch4 and shattering the watch face. We also have over 700 authorized repair locations nationwide to take your device to be repaired so you can get back quickly to what you enjoy doing most in life. If your watch's battery is completely discharged, it will not power on. You'll need to charge it before turning it on. If the watch will not power on, it doesn't seem to charge, or the light on the charger blinks, the problem could be anything from the battery, connection, the charger, or the watch itself. When you have the available time out of your busy schedule, please take a moment to review the article that I have linked below for you titled, "Samsung smart watch will not charge or power on" for some quick troubleshooting steps that you can take to help resolve what you may be experiencing with your Galaxy Watch4. Feel free to reach out to Samsung Support afterwards if you have any questions for us or if you would like any further assistance. Thank you for being an unwavering Samsung customer. - Debra

It's Almost Perfect

I've had the watch for a few weeks and I mostly love it. I upgraded from the Watch 3 for the amazing trade-in that was offered. I wasn't expecting anything ground breaking from Wear OS or Samsung. I really liked the styling of the Watch 4 Classic so I bought it. Overall, it's more modern looking, stylish, works flawlessly, and feels familiar. This version of Wear OS looks and functions very much like Tizen OS. On the down side: the backup feature doesn't work. I switched the watch between 2 different phones and had to start from scratch each time; no improvements in battery life (might even be a small loss); and not enough watch faces to choose from. There are way more on Tizen. All of those are minor issues. Overall, the watch functions well, does 99% of what it says it does, and looks hot in the wrist.

Poor battery life!!!

I purchased the watch 4 in the lte version. After fully charging it overnight, I wore it to work the next day. My battery was draining rapidly and within 6 hours, my battery was at 3%. I didn't have anything high draining watch faces or apps. that should have caused this. I have the old galaxy watch and it's battery life lasts 2 days. Samsung definitely needs to pull this watch off of the market.

Battery SUCKS!!

I've had this watch for about two weeks now and the battery life really sucks it doesn't last a full day. I upgraded from the galaxy active watch and I could've have honestly kept it. The watch face selection is terrible I never had to download extra things to be able to use my watch. It also doesn't receive all of my text messages I'll receive them on my phone but not my watch and it will be connected. I'm not impressed at all by this watch. Smh very disappointed. I'm considering sending it back and keeping my galaxy active. I'm usually very impressed by Samsung but not this time and I don't like how the app selection is set up like the apple watch.

Good Smartwatch

The Good - stylish, straight forward and easy to use. The Bad - requires 3rd part app for customization, battery life.
Overall I have enjoyed my experience with the Classic 4. It does everything that I expected. (i.e. Time, Music control, face customization). My main concern getting a smartwatch was having something big and bulky on my wrist. The Classic 46mm isn't much bigger than several other watched I currently own, the band it came with was comfortable and prevented slippage. Initially taking it out of the box, battery life was a major concern as it didn't seem to last 24 hours without needing a recharge. Getting the initial software updated and turning off the LTE has extended the battery life out to over 48hrs.
Changing the Watch Face is just a click of the button. The default watch faces on the Galaxy Wearable app are limited and the customization allowed are very basic. You'll most likely get your watch faces from a 3rd party app for this reason. There is also a limited number of ringtones and notification sounds. This was frustrating to me as I enjoy customizing my sound effects to go with my displays. I was able to find a work around this problem, but it took a 3rd party app and some technical experience.
The only problematic issue I've had was a allergic reaction. After wearing the watch for a few days, I begun to notice a red blistering ring. It was heartbreaking to think I wouldn't be able to continue using something so expensive anymore. Not wanting to admit defeat, I deep cleaned the watch and attempted to wear on my other arm. I noticed no reaction after a week and switched the watch back to the previous arm without further incident.

I've been using my Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 for about 3 weeks now and have been very happy with it so far. It's feels and looks like a quality product, it's responsive and has been easy to use. I purchased this watch to primarily act as my fitness watch, with smartwatch features being the bonus. It has performed well in both areas, except that I've noticed that this watch is not tracking steps on the elliptical machine. I was on the elliptical for 45 minutes and it tracked about 250 steps. My previous watch was a Garmin, and it indeed tracked steps on the elliptical. This has been the most disappointing aspect of using this device and I hope that in the coming weeks a software upgrade might correct this problem. It makes no sense to put effort into a workout and not see the results. Otherwise, I've had no issues with battery life. At the end of my day, I typically have 40 - 50% charge left. Aside from the elliptical tracking issue, I would recommend this product.
