fell out of love

Loved my watch for a long time, less than 2 years later it will no longer power on. Per other sites there is or was a 2 year manufacturers warranty - per Samsung, its only one year. I purchased it in May 2022 and enjoyed it up until 6 weeks ago. Now it's just a paperweight. It will no longer power on and won't take a charge. Trying to determine if I stick with Samsung or move to a different brand - loved my watch.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good day Luv2walk,
Thank you for finding the free time out of your busy day to share your thoughts with us about your Samsung Galaxy Watch4. We value your honesty as we improve the design and functionality of our product line while we stay committed to constant innovation. Our goal is for our customers to feel like they are having the most amazing experiences when using our products. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, linked below. Did you know that we also offer Samsung Care+ that provides physical damage protection to your eligible devices? Samsung Care+ is great for those unanticipated situations we sometimes find ourselves in, like forgetting your Watch4 in the seat of your taxi on your way to catch your flight, having your Watch4 stolen from your bag, getting caught in a rainstorm without your Water Lock feature engaged, to dropping your Watch4 and shattering the watch face. We also have over 700 authorized repair locations nationwide to take your device to be repaired so you can get back quickly to what you enjoy doing most in life. If your watch's battery is completely discharged, it will not power on. You'll need to charge it before turning it on. If the watch will not power on, it doesn't seem to charge, or the light on the charger blinks, the problem could be anything from the battery, connection, the charger, or the watch itself. When you have the available time out of your busy schedule, please take a moment to review the article that I have linked below for you titled, "Samsung smart watch will not charge or power on" for some quick troubleshooting steps that you can take to help resolve what you may be experiencing with your Galaxy Watch4. Feel free to reach out to Samsung Support afterwards if you have any questions for us or if you would like any further assistance. Thank you for being an unwavering Samsung customer.

Short on battery life no working software
on December 11, 2023
Posted by: Catsmamma
I bought this watching July of 2022. The battery last about 20 hours. But the worst part is the software. I can not install the software onto my phone. They changed the software it use to show the length of sleep and the various levels. Such as light, deep even rem. It is now called Samsung health but when I installed there was no way to connect to my watch. So I uninstalled now get message not compatible with my devices. I am not about to buy another phone . So will need to find a different watch.

Good day Catsmamma,
Thank you for finding the free time out of your busy day to share your thoughts with us about your Samsung Galaxy Watch4. The Galaxy Wearable app is the core for everything related to your Samsung smart watch. However, this app is only available on your phone, which means you need to connect your watch and phone together. Samsung watches are only compatible with certain Android and iOS phones - make sure your phone is compatible before you try setting up your watch. The Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic requires compatible phones to have Android 6.0 and RAM 1.5GB or higher. However, iOS devices are not compatible. For more information regarding our Samsung smart watch and phone compatible, please take a moment to review the article that I have linked below for you. Without more details regarding what type of phone you are utilizing and without being able to ask you any follow up questions, I suggest contacting Samsung Support if you would like further assistance and/or help with troubleshooting your device. Thank you for being an unwavering Samsung customer.

Trash Watch
on January 7, 2024

It seems like it was working great when I first got it. Now since the last major update, it has not been the same, its straight useless. Stops in the middle of timed workouts and keep dropping connection from another workout app that I use. Never ran into this problem before until now. Also the battery life is crap too even when using the so called battery saving features. I think it also cheats me out of daily steps sometimes. When this stops working I'm not getting anymore.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Lady4588,
Thanks for taking the time out of your hectic day to share your thoughts with us about your Samsung Galaxy Watch4. Your Samsung smart watch isn’t all cogs and gears - it’s wires, processors, data chips, and software! And just like with any other smart device, the watch's software and apps will need to be updated every so often. Luckily, you can update both whether you have a phone or not! Take a look at, "Update software and apps on your Samsung smart watch" when you have some available time to help resolve what you have described to be experiencing with your Galaxy Watch4, linked below. There are several reasons why your Galaxy Watch may be experiencing battery drain or have decreased battery life. For example, certain apps can increase battery consumption. Also check out, "Reduced battery life on your Samsung smart watch" and "Inaccurate steps on your Samsung smart watch" when you have the time to learn more about how to increase your watch's battery life and to help resolve your possible inaccurate step count. Feel free to contact Samsung Support afterwards if you have any questions or if you would like any further assistance. Thank you for being a cherished Samsung customer.

Not impressed

So far my experience with this watch has been less than enjoyable. Most apps available for the watch through the app store don't work the way they should and the actual amount of useful apps is very very limited. I guess I didn't realize before buying the watch that 90% of my everyday apps like Facebook, twitter, my bank app, ect weren't available for the watch. Not impressed with the fact that I can't stream music through my watch, so far it's basically just a remote to control the music as it plays through your phone. Constanly have problems with the body mass measuring, it makes it to 67% and errors out saying i n3ed to move my watch further up my arm and no matter how far i move it or how tight i make it it doesnt ever seem to work correctly. Pretty much the only useful thing for me is the sleep tracking. Overall if I had the choice again I wouldn't have purchased the watch.

Bad features

I bought this watch a year ago and have used it 5 times because of it bad battery life, now it won't even charge and won't turn on. I called Samsung and they refused to fix because it's out of warranty. TBH, this is the worst purchase I have ever made, with all that money, it didn't even last me a year.

Thanks for reaching out to us, Abena. We really appreciate your feedback regarding the Galaxy Watch. If your watch will not power on, it doesn't seem to charge, or the light on the charger blinks, the problem could be anything from the battery, connection, the charger, or the watch itself. Products sold by Samsung are warranted against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for the limited 12-month warranty period specified for each product. We also provide the option to add additional coverage with Samsung Care+ on eligible devices, which offers extended protection and additional support. Check out the link attached for options to help troubleshoot this. If this persists, please be sure to reach out to us at Samsung Support so that we can look into what can be done to get this resolved. -Kelvin

It's Almost Perfect

I've had the watch for a few weeks and I mostly love it. I upgraded from the Watch 3 for the amazing trade-in that was offered. I wasn't expecting anything ground breaking from Wear OS or Samsung. I really liked the styling of the Watch 4 Classic so I bought it. Overall, it's more modern looking, stylish, works flawlessly, and feels familiar. This version of Wear OS looks and functions very much like Tizen OS. On the down side: the backup feature doesn't work. I switched the watch between 2 different phones and had to start from scratch each time; no improvements in battery life (might even be a small loss); and not enough watch faces to choose from. There are way more on Tizen. All of those are minor issues. Overall, the watch functions well, does 99% of what it says it does, and looks hot in the wrist.
I would recommend this to a friend!
