[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first bought this a a birthday present to myself, I went out and started to drive and needed Google maps. As I started to drive I noticed that it automatically showed up on my watch..I was stunned. Its amazing that I didn't need to take my eyes away from the road so much to look at my phone, my watch gave me clear directions.

I bought this when it first came out. I was excited but it was very laggy and slow. even basic apps were too slow and 3rd party apps constantly crashed. I do not recommend it.

Short on battery life no working software

I bought this watching July of 2022. The battery last about 20 hours. But the worst part is the software. I can not install the software onto my phone. They changed the software it use to show the length of sleep and the various levels. Such as light,deep even rem. It is now called Samsung health but when I installed there was no way to connect to my watch. So I uninstalled now get message not compatible with my devices. I am not about to buy another phone . So will need to find a different watch.

The Galaxy Wearable app is the core for everything related to your Samsung smart watch. However, this app is only available on your phone, which means you need to connect your watch and phone together. Samsung watches are only compatible with certain Android and iOS phones - make sure your phone is compatible before you try setting up your watch. The Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic requires compatible phones to have Android 6.0 and RAM 1.5GB or higher. However, iOS devices are not compatible. It seems like it was working great when I first got it. Now since the last major update, it has not been the same, its straight useless. Stops in the middle of timed workouts and keep dropping connection from another workout app that I use. Never ran into this problem before until now. Also the battery life is crap too even when using the so called battery saving features. I think it also cheats me out of daily steps sometimes. When this stops working I'm not getting anymore.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

And just like with any other smart device, the watch's software and apps will need to be updated every so often. Luckily, you can update both whether you have a phone or not! There are several reasons why your Galaxy Watch may be experiencing battery drain or have decreased battery life. For example, certain apps can increase battery consumption. I purchased this watch a couple weeks ago because my Fitbit was getting old and I also wanted more features than Fitbit offered, although for the most part, I was happy with my Fitbit. I am so happy that I made this purchase. I am still finding new features!
