I moved up from the original Galaxy watch, and am impressed by the performance and screen improvements, but:
Of my multiple chargers, NONE but the supplied charger work without overheating the watch and putting it into airplane mode. This really needs to be fixed.
The new OS is nice and reminiscent of Tizen, but the app drawer is as organized as a junk drawer compared to the rotating app selector. I am hoping Samsung or a 3rd party can fix this.
Will update as I go.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It is too bad after all these years they still have not figured how to make this watch know you are wearing it. and now with the galaxy watch 4 it is completely unusable because you can't turn the "always on" feature like the old ones.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The charger had cellophane on it but the wire itself looked like it was hand wound as if from a return. There was a small empty plastic bag under the watch band. Worst part is that the "Quick Start Guide" did not help me get started. It had a link to samsung support. What's the point? A quick start guide helps you "get started". Not giving me a warm and fuzzy here, but will try it out anyway.

Battery Life

I currently have a Samsung Galaxy Active 2. I love the watch. However, because I have to charge it every day or night, before going to bed, I prefer going back to the famous named brand I was wearing before. The battery life on that particular brand last for days before i have to recharge it. If I have to turn off almost all features for the battery to last longer, what good is the Galaxy watch?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Watch face is larger than my wrist.

I just received my Galaxy Watch 4 and was really looking forward to wearing it for many reasons however I am extremely disappointed. The face is larger than my wrist. From what I understand the watch I received (40 mm) has the smallest face. I don't understand why Samsung does not make a smaller face. I am sure there are millions of people out there with small wrists like mine. There are three other people in my 5 person office with similar size wrists.

I bought this watch last year. 4 days later I took it back to exchange it. It was over heating and the battery was dying. They gave me a new one. This one does not over heat however does not keep a charge. I've done everything recommended to keep battery health. I charged this last night, woke up put it on charge again bc I know better. I went to the gym, n it has died. Mid work out. Died. I get charging every night... but this is crazy. On a good day I get about 16 hours of use. On a bad day... an hour. -_- I'm hoping they updated this issue. Bc it is known! I hope they have fixed the new ones bc this watch has amazing potential.

This watch is a piece of garbage. Within a month of purchase, the battery life lasted for less than 5 hours. I literary have to charge this watch 3 to four times a day. When I called for replacement, I was told they won’t replace or fix the watch. One month of purchase. This is the worst watch I’ve ever purchased. I’m
