I purchased the S22 Ultra along with the Galaxy Watch 4 to be used with Verizon. I initially set it up on Verizon and then was told that the watch could only be used with number share. That sounds like a bluetooth watch, I purchased the LTE version specifically to be able to have the watch be independent of my phone. Contacted Verizon back today and they said this watch will never work independently because Samsung software limits it to only number share. I am done with Samsung products.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Auto start all exercise?!?!?!

I like the watch, it doesn't compare to the original galaxy watch when it comes to battery life. Why is it only set to detect certain workouts? I'm sure om not the only person who has forgotten to start their watch before a spin class or a weight session. With all these updates that are constantly pushed out that only drain thr battery, how about you add a few useful updates for everyone?

A 4G Failure - Do NOT Buy 4G

This watch cannot reliably connect to 4G LTE without overheating and locking out all features. One of the primary reasons to purchase the watch was 4G functionality, new processor, and increased battery life. It does not live up to any of those promises and is what I consider to be a failure. I have already sent the watch in for Samsung repair, and still after connecting to 4G it overheats in minutes. Once you couple this with cost of a 4G plan, and somewhat lacking implementation of WearOS compared to other options, this watch is overall really frustrating. Many apps have reduced features or performance compared to other platforms, and some were or are not available; Spotify (will only connect and stream reliably 50% of the time), Gmail (not available?!), Assistant (only recently available), Samsung Keyboard (awful)
Summary - as a Bluetooth watch it may be OK, with its main redeeming feature being Samsung health, but DO NOT BUY A 4G version unless it cost less than the Bluetooth version.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This year I decided to go all in on the Samsung ecosystem or atleast as much as I could. I have never owned a "smartwatch" before and I love this thing. I decided to go with the more "budget" option as this would be my first smartwatch and wanted to have a good baseline. Overall, I think this is a great watch. Ofcourse I can't testify to how it stands compared to the previous iterations, but I am a fan. One of the reasons I am not 100% sold on all smartwatches is for a couple of reasons. (Thisbdoes not just apply to samsung.) I do want a watch with longer battery life. I know that we are not quite there yet, but I do utilize all of the options to help increase battery life currently, which helps. Besides that, this is a great watch with plenty of options/features. Great piece to get into the smartwatch realm. Lastly, I do like the circular watch face and hopes this continues. It offers the more watch-like look and feel and sets it apart from other brands/competitors.

galaxy watch 4 does not have a long battery life and the IOS processing is not good. I could not swap my watch faces that I had on my galaxy watch 2 was not able to swap over the the watch 4.

Nice looking. Reasonable battery life and layout. Fairly intuitive to use. The sensors leave a lot to be desired. ie. steps, stairs, O2 sats - as not accurate. HR and Rythm strip work. The ability to calibrate the sensors would be nice. The ability to add to activities would be nice. I have stopped using it in favor of a Garmin. May switch back if Samsung added, glucose monitoring, blood pressure monitoring (in the US) and improved the other sensors

I've had two Samsung watches with Galaxy3 being my second one...Its gorgeously eye catching, features are wonderful, accessories and screen options outstanding...Its the best smartwatch to date, and I've seen the others...No contest!!! If u dont love this watch then ur definitely a Apple user...UGH!!! My only complaint is that the battery only last for two days...Love U Samsung...

My 3 was better. The 4 does not have a long battery life as well as having issues charging on my phone, and other wireless charging devices. Not happy and would not suggest
