Step back from the Watch 3

Coming from the Watch 3 to a Watch 4. I had the hardest time getting this to connect with my phone S21U. I had to reset, reboot, remove, install, and delete cache/data from a few apps associated with the watch numerous times.
Not having a Altimeter Barometer widget is a huge step back and is an must have feature for me. The inaccuracy of the Alt/Baro is a huge negative. I work at 11' above sea level. My Watch 3 shows 21' and my Watch 4 shows me at 250', the baro shows 30 and doesn't have the tenth spot like my Watch 3, another negative. For example current pressure (using WX ASOS here at the airport) 29.52 in Hg, Watch 3 shows 29.5 and the Watch 4 shows 30, it rounds up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Battery sucks

I got my watch and within 6 hours it keep telling me batteries are low. I don't use it other then to tell time and as a back up. I wish I would have kept my old watch the battery lasted longer.

not receiving notifications

I was excited to receive this Christmas present but so far it's been a disappointment, I have not been able to receive any pop up notifications including incoming phone calls. I've reset the watch several times without any luck. Contacted tmobile to see if maybe it was their network and still not able to function properly. what a waste of money from my kids

Battery life is an absolute joke

I've owned several Samsung watches over the years, the s2, gear s3, active watch 2 and this one is by far the worst. I normally get the larger 44m watches and tried the watch 4 44m. I love how thin it is but found that it's too tall/long for my wrist and protrudes too much at the top/bottom, so i got the lte 40mm. I will be returning an dtsicking with my active watch 2 which comfortably gets me at leats 2.5 days. I can charge in the morning and by the next night still be at at least 30%. The new watch 4 drained 25% within the first 45min of wear while downloading a few apps PLUS the only app I found that even has any useful advantage over the active 2 is google messages. Google notes and maps are finicky on the watch and wouldn't even trust how little this watch would last while actually only using lte. I would stay away from this one at all costs until maybe the next samsung google watch that might fix these issues!

Battery life is pretty poor

For the most part I love this watch. I love that it doesn't look like a fitness tracker. I love the different options for watch faces and the different apps. I love that I get an alert if I leave the house without my phone. The major issue for me is the battery life. I had read other reviews about the battery and that many users had to charge the watch daily. I could cope with that; I just put it on charge every evening while I shower. But often, the battery doesn't even last 24 hours. It really should come with a second charger, that can be kept in the car, or office, for when the battery dies randomly in the afternoon.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointing

I traded my Active 2 for the Watch4 Classic. I wish I would have kept my Active 2 The battery life sucks and tih band is to short. The watch faces I loved on the Active 2 are much better and versatile. I am totally disappointed with this one.

Really like my Galaxy Watch

I got the 40mm watch because it is the right size, I also got the hybrid band. Both combined looks great. I like several things from my watch, from heart rate, sleep mode to know how well I slept. Stress, ecg, and bpm are useful. I have used it to run, walk, do yoga, workout and I am really enjoying it. The LTE version is a plus since I do not need to carry my phone around to do things, like do samsung pay, play music, directions.
There are a lot of features I like and most of them are the sport side since I like to be active, and I had a watch that almost did everything this one did except the stand alone such as make phone calls.
I would like improvements; I use the NRC Nike app to go running and I cannot use this app on my watch or even link it somehow. The battery does not last more than one day when I am active, when I am not it lasts up to two days.
Overall, it is a good watch,
I would recommend this to a friend!

I just upgraded from the gear sport watch as I wanted the newer health monitoring features. There was definitely a learning curve switching from something that "old" to this. Despite adjusting to some of the differences, I have not been able to adjust to the battery life. I could go about 1.5 - 2 days on a single charge with my gear sport. With the galaxy watch 4, my battery life is barely 12 hours.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
