I am very disappointed in the battery life of the Galaxy watch 4. I have had a Galaxy watch for 5 years and only replaced it because the battery in it eventually wouldn't hold a charge for more than 6 hours. This new one has to be charged every day from the get go, really really disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Smartwatch I've always wanted!

I've always wanted one of these smartwatch. I Love the look and features they have and now finally it has Wear OS. Unfortunately is missing 2 things that are holding me back from purchasing this one; and that's the Google Assistant and Google Fit. I'll purchase if I see that get updated or I'll just wait for Google's Pixel watch...

Battery charger dongle is a joke

The charging apparatus for the watch gets worse with each release. The cable itself is extremely short, the charging pad is too small to keep the 40mm stable, and the whole thing twists itself around. It is awful, and compared to the price of the watch this is a joke. I can't even consider buying the paid-for premium charger by Samsung because the review on that is even worse. Having no good charger, this watch is basically useless. Very sad to see a good product line go down the drain like this.

Big mistake I bought the watch 4 and in 2 months in the screen cracked, sent it in for repairs and was sent back scratched and screws missing.

the battery life is not 40 hours as claimed. I have found less than 30 hours without charging. the ECG function requires a lockscreen I had the Galaxy 3. Because of a different OS, some of the apps I purchased won't work on the new watch. the sensors are iffy, I sometimes have to restart the app to get my heart rate or stress levels. The default rubber / plastic band has a weird design - you have to tuck the end under the rest of the band.

I bought this as an upgrade to my Garmin Fenix 5x watch. Now I am having some regrets, especially when it comes to battery life. The battery does not last a day on this watch. I had my Garmin loaded with apps and it lasted several days. This Samsung watch drains fast without additional apps loaded.
