I bought the watch classic 4 and i can't get any notifications or anything to the watch at all. I tried everything and even got another watch but sadly it doesn't work :( i messed with all the settings and everything but nothing pops up. And when it does pop up it's from a message that was 30 min old. I can't figure it out. Possibly could be the watch plugin is bugged or the version.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't

The short version is as the title says, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
I've had my Galaxy 4 for a few weeks now and I'm a little underwhelmed. If you want something that you can glance at to see the time and date or weather and health information then this thing is solid. But if you want something to see your messages and phone calls or any other app that interacts directly with your phone then I'd recommend looking at other products. I've tried various settings in various locations on both the watch and phone (Galaxy Flip) and the chances are 50/50 whether the watch is going to show a notification or not. On top of that the watch comes default set to NOT show most notifications, you have to go in manually to turn them on yourself and this seems rather backwards to me.
The last thing that bothers me is I keep getting an audio notification from the Kindle app on my phone only I don't use the app and never had opened it before. I had to uninstall the app just to keep the notification from popping up.
I will give credit where due though, I personally have had no issues with the battery like some have reported. I'm able to go two full days before I need to charge and there's still 20-30% battery left when I put it on the charger. Maybe this is due in part to the watch not giving me my notifications half the time so it doesn't use up the battery but it at least makes me feel like it's solid.
I like the parts that work and I like the look of the watch but I wouldn't recommend it as is.

I got my watch, a couple of weeks early! Thank you, Samsung! Delivered in time for Christmas!
I really like that it counts the steps I take, and I've discovered that I walk approx. 1.5 miles in my house alone! LOL
I downloaded the owner's manual, and was able to import some pictures I wanted on the watch from my phone, and that was really easy!
Set up was also easy, which is why I've always purchased Samsung! They have always had user friendly stuff!
I had thoughts since the watches first came out, that they looked ridiculously big, however, with 65 year old eyes, bigger is better!
It has some of the same features as your cell phone, and a few different ones, too. I was not able to set it up with my email, but I did not add it to my cell phone account, and that's why. I am still thinking of doing that, cause I really would like to check my email from the watch.
I think texting is a bit sporty, I'm not used to having to type with the old style of keyboard, I've used swipe since that was invented, and I really prefer it. You can draw the the letters for texting, but I've found that's kind of a pain.
You can set up which features you use the most with the bezel scroll, and I really liked that!
Overall, I am going to enjoy this watch, and as I get more proficient with the stuff, I think it will come in very handy!
Oh, and of course, you can connect your Samsung earbuds with your watch too, so you can take calls that way and listen to your favorite tunes!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Battery life making me wish I bought Garmin/Fitbit

I bought this watch early December and I am already wishing I had put this money towards other comparable watches due to the horrible battery life. All my products are Samsung its been that way since I was a teenager. The watches really haven't ever been super impressive, but normally when I get one of their new watches the battery life has lasted ~3 days, and after about 1-2 years, will dwindle down to only lasting 1 day.
This watch from day one has only lasted roughly 1 day, and I don't even really use it, whereas my other watches I used regularly at the gym. This watch I will wear to bed, charge while Im in the shower, wear to work where I only use it to rarely check the time/date, and then charge it from 7pm-11pm after I get home from work to the time I go to bed. It does charge to full very fast, but if I dont charge it when I get home from work, it will be dead before I wake up the next morning.
Battery life aside, its a great watch that I enjoy. unfortunately though I do not charge my watch everyday, and the days I forget to charge it means I have no watch the next day. Garmin and Fitbit last 4-9 days for similarly prices watches. sadly, it looks like it may be time to switch.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible battery life!!!!

I just got this watch yesterday 12/31/2021 and I've already had to charge it 3 times!!!!!! Even on battery saving mode. I " upgraded" from the galaxy active watch 2 to the classic galaxy 4. Liked the a.r watch emoji thought it was cool but apparently not great for battery life. Went to sleep with it on after taking it off the charger for my sleep monitoring and woke up to it at 15% ! Seriously! All I did was sleep... Samsung we've got to do better. I'm upset because I've already mailed off my trade in

Hate to take it off!

I am by far no watch expert, but I love this watch. The worst time is when I have to take it off to charge it. I was not super excited to a watch, but in the 3 days I have been using it, it has become an essential part of my tech toolkit. The health related features (sleep, exercise, ekg, etc.) are great, but the real hook for me is the time is saves me digging for my phone constantly. I can quickly check notifications and phone calls without a huge production. It enables me to quickly assess the reason for notifications without chasing down my phone.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great watches but terrible watchbands

This classic 4 is my 3rd galaxy watch and they are great watches. Nice looking and easy to use. My only complaints are the battery life and the bands. The bands are ridiculously hard to change and so frustrating. Trying to insert the pin in one side while sliding back and holding a hard to touch slider and insert a band that barely fits and then let go of the slider and then hoping it's in the hole is ridiculous for such an expensive watch. I seriously wish they would take a lesson from the Apple bands that slide in and click when locked in place.
