This is perfect for tailgating. we have used it and works well. I only wish you didnt have to use a generator to power the unit. I was able to use my inverter provided with my pickup to do so.

Just incase you were wondering, yes you CAN cook a Full Brisket in it. Be careful of the drippings, but it came out perfect.

I bought this grill because I was tired of fighting charcoal and wanted good smokey flavor. I've been experimenting with it and plan on purchasing a larger grill for the deck and this one becoming my shop and lake grill.

Terrible Grill. Routinely Shutdowns

I bought this grill a year ago. Works fine for high temp burgers and chicken. Try to do anything low and slow and it will fail. Combustion chamber will over fill and shutdown. Once had the barrel so hot it bubbles out during a pellet overfill and I needed a fire extinguisher for the event to keep the deck from burning down. Happened again today during a brisket. I’m done with the product. Terrible design. Simply not big enough to properly regulate temperature and combustion chamber doesn’t work properly.

Broken lid hinges

Grill is just out of warranty of course. The Hinges for the lid pulled out of the body. Metal is deformed where they pulled free. Just not a durable design. Thin metal + heat and cooling equals metal fatigue in a short amount of time. Disappointed it is not designed to last.

Great for those who want to try pellet grilling. Works great, easy to assemble, and light enough to move around easily. Only 4 stars for two reasons - its a bit pricey compared to competitors, and Traeger (as far as I know) is the only company who voids the warranty for using non-Traeger brand pellets.
