Frustrating, beyond frustrating

I was so happy when I got this as my Navy anniversary gift. Unfortunately after constant issues (catching fire, throwing error codes and shutting off randomly during a long smoke) over the last couple years I finally had enough and rolled it to the side of the street. I’m sure someone else will be happy with it for a while before they do the same. Using the right pellets, cleaning it properly, none of that mattered. I never ever want to deal with such frustration again

This smoker/grill is exactly what I was looking for. It’s the right size for one person, and the portability is perfect. I can run this off my Goal Zero Yeti 400 Lithium Ion battery and my Boulder 100 solar panels and get more from the sun than the Traeger draws at 250 degrees. Everything I have cooked has been delicious. Ribs, pork roast, salmon, and whole chickens have come out great. Additionally, the digital arc controller works great and the included meat thermometer has been accurate and dependable. I am very happy with this purchase and hope this smoker/grill lasts me for a long time!

Over heats consistently

I have tried everything with this smoker, and it is still running nearly 100 degrees above set temperature. I’ve replaced all of the components in the grill, left the lid open after starting it, changed the P settings, cleaned it thoroughly and STILL - it’s running way too hot and I have to babysit it anytime I want to smoke something. Works fine for grilling but I’d never recommend it if you’re looking to smoke. I feel bad even trying to sell it because of the issues I’ve had.

I have had this for a few years. It tends to run a little hot at times, but not enough to warrant a call to Traeger. This is a great little smoker/grill. It smokes well and grills great. It is easy to clean and it works. The onliest thing I wish it had is a super smoke setting.

Great Smoker grill that is small enough to take anywhere, the legs on this model are also removable which makes it perfect to mount onto the camper or the pickup, it’s not a big grill so if your looking for that this isn’t for you but if you want a smoker that doesn’t take up your whole patio, truck bed or camper this it the one to get.

So far so good. The meats we have grilled have been so deliciously smoked and perfect temp every time. We used to have a smoker that wood burning and just such a hassle to keep the temps low. This Traeger grill..you set the temp and forget it!! Best purchase we have made in 2020.
